The West Belconnen Warriors impressed at home with a demolishing 38-18 defeat against the Gungahlin Bulls at Raiders Belconnen.
Although both sides came into this game with momentum after securing wins last week, it was the home side that were able to consistently capitalise on their scoring opportunities with some slick attack.
The opening 10 minutes of play was a set for set battle with both sides not giving an inch in defence.
It wasn't until Warriors five-eighth Caleb Edwards took matters into his own hands to open up the scoring, putting a grubber through for himself and planting the ball over the line.
Soon after, Gungahlin's defensive line started to open up which saw Edwards find a gap down the blindside before running 40 metres and beating the fullback to score his second.
As time progressed, an unforced error from West Belconnen gave the Bulls their first scoring opportunity.
A quick shift to the right off the scrum saw Bulls player Earldric Pehara storm down the sideline before offloading to Travis Vawdon in support to score.
With the Warriors in close range again, a well executed backline move saw fullback Ryan McQueen receive ball out the back before slicing through a gap and drawing in the last defender to put William Robb in the corner.
On the brink of halftime, the Warriors added two points to their lead off a penalty kick as they headed into the sheds with a 20-6 lead.
As the second half begun, West Belconnen came out hot, with Edwards finding his way to the line once again to cross for his hat trick within the first two minutes.
Shortly after, the Warriors rolled down the field which resulted in McQueen receiving an impressive off-load and scoring to blow their lead out to 32-6.
Gungahlin's first points of the half didn't come until the 58th minute when Jade Schumacher burrowed over from close range off the ruck.
With the game already sealed, the Warriors crossed for another try within the final 10 minutes, before Bulls winger Ryan Grocott showed off his speed to score the final try of the match.
The final scores read 38-18, with the Warriors proving too strong for their opponents.
