Queanbeyan Kangaroos 28 defeated Woden Rams 18
The Queanbeyan Kangaroos came away with a 28-18 victory over the weekend against the Woden Valley Rams at Seears Workwear Oval.
With a 10 point victory, it was evident that Queanbeyan were itching to get onto the field after resting with the bye in round three.
The Kangaroos are yet to record a loss this season and look to continue this form following a strong start to the year.
This was Woden's first loss of the season which sees them bumped down from top spot, sitting in second behind the Blues.
Woden have a chance to take back their position at the top of the ladder when they play the Blues this weekend, while the Kangaroos look ahead to come up against the West Belconnen Warriors.
Queanbeyan Blues 68 defeated Yass Magpies 14
The Queanbeyan Blues have stayed in the winning circle after a commanding 68-14 win over the Yass Magpies at Walker Park.
In the try scoring frenzy for the Blues, both Dylan McLachlan and Josh Billing scored hat-tricks, while Connor Williams and Jack Anderson crossed for two tries each.
Magpies backrower Lane Davis was a standout for his side, reaching the try line twice to score a double in a losing effort.
Yass will have an opportunity to regroup with the competition bye this weekend, while Queanbeyan will turn their attention to the Woden Valley Rams at home in a top two clash.
Tuggeranong Bushrangers 34 defeated Goulburn Bulldogs 24
The Tuggeranong Bushrangers secured their first win of the 2024 season with a 10 point victory over the Goulburn City Bulldogs on the weekend.
Saturday saw an impressive performance from Bushrangers five-eighth Wezley Alexander-McCarthy who crossed the line twice.
Tuggeranong's Jack Davidson and Jierh Tiumalu also had stand out performances, both reaching the try line for a double to aid their side to their first win of the season.
In round five, Goulburn aim to break their duck and secure their first win of the year against the Sharks. Meanwhile, Tuggeranong look to make it two in a row against Gungahlin.
West Belconnen Warriors 38 defeated Gungahlin Bulls 18
The West Belconnen Warriors continued their successful start to the season, defeating the Gungahlin Bulls with a 38-18 victory.
Both sides were in a back and forth contest within the first half, but West Belconnen skipped away to lead 20-6 at halftime, before piling on the points after the break.
Warriors five-eighth Caleb Edwards was a standout, securing his hattrick in the second half to lead his side to a convincing 38-18 victory.
This weekend, the Warriors will test themselves against the defending premiers, the Queanbeyan Kangaroos. Whilst Gungahlin will look to bounce back against the Bushrangers.
