Intensity is rising in the Blumers Lawyers Katrina Fanning Shield as three dominating games in round six continue to shape a tight ladder.

Woden Valley Rams 42 defeat Belconnen United Sharks 0

The Woden Valley Rams secured the win at home over the weekend with a dominant 42-0 victory over the Belconnen United Sharks.

Ram’s captain Chloe Doon led by example this weekend, crossing the try line twice. Five-eighth Ella Ryan’s kicking game was on fire, successfully converting all seven tries of the day.

Belconnen’s disappointing performance comes after a commanding 38-6 victory the weekend before.

There’s no doubt the Sharks will be eager to bounce back in round seven as they face the Yass Magpies, while the Rams will enjoy a bye.

Queanbeyan Blues 44 defeat Goulburn City Bulldogs 0

The Queanbeyan Blues claimed a commanding 44-0 victory over the Goulburn City Bulldogs last weekend at Seiffert Oval.

Queanbeyan’s centres Tamika Murphy and Tyrah Nye were instrumental in securing the large win, crossing the line for a hat-trick and a double respectively.

The impressive win allows the Blues to hold onto their place on top of the ladder and maintain their undefeated status.

The Goulburn City Bulldogs will use their consecutive losses as fuel as they hope to make amends in round seven against the Gungahlin Bulls. 

Meanwhile, the Blues will be riding high with confidence as they face the West Belconnen Warriors this weekend.

Gungahlin Bulls 84 defeat Bungendore Kangaroos 0

The Gungahlin Bulls secured an outstanding 84-0 victory over the Bungendore Kangaroos last weekend at Seears Workwear Oval.

The Bulls’ domination included standout performances from Caitlin Turnbull on the wing, who scored a whopping five tries.

Bulls Takira Gaspari and Tijana Zdravevska were also impressive, crossing the try line multiple times.

Coming off consecutive losses, the Kangaroos will be looking to grab their first win of the season as they go head-to-head against the also winless Tuggeranong Bushrangers this weekend.

Meanwhile, the Bulls will be looking look to carry over their winning momentum when they face the Goulburn City Bulldogs.
