Ricky Stuart re-signs with the Raiders as Head Coach

Canberra Raiders Head Coach Ricky Stuart has re-signed on a new deal which will see him remain with the club until the end of the 2029 season.

Stuart recently surpassed 500 games as an NRL Coach, with over 250 of those matches at the helm of the Raiders since his appointment as Head Coach at the beginning of the 2014 season.

Stuart’s re-signing shows a sign of stability for the current playing squad and potential future recruits, with several current players already committing to the club recently.

Raiders Chairman Dennis Richardson said the re-signing of Stuart gives the club certainty and direction into the future.

“The Raiders are in the process of moving through a significant transition, with one of the youngest playing squads in the NRL and we see Ricky as a central part of that transition,” Mr Richardson said. “His values and character have been an important ingredient in the attraction of the young talent we’ve been able to bring to the club in recent times.”

“His re-signing until the end of the decade provides continuity and certainty for a playing group which we believe has the potential to deliver the ultimate prize in the coming years.”

“As everyone knows, Ricky is very much a part of the Canberra, Queanbeyan and regional community and his commitment and passion for the green machine is legendary.”
