The Raiders NSW Cup team suffered their third loss of the season over the weekend, going down to the Dragons 24-16 at North Sydney Oval.

The Dragons had all the momentum in the first half, jumping to a 14-0 lead after tries to Sione Finau, Savelio Tamale and Benjamin Johnson, with Jonah Glover converting one of the tries.

The Raiders were able to bounce back just before half-time, with a lovely pass from Zac Woolford close to the line putting prop Jake Clydsdale over for a four-pointer.

Adam Cook converted to bring the score to 14-6 at the break.

Dragons fullback Mathew Feagai was first to score in the second half, extending their lead to 18-6.

A strong try by Raiders second rower Simi Sasagi followed by an outstanding solo try by James Schiller just four minutes later closed the gap to just two points.

But Dragons five-eighth Jesse Marschke sealed the win with a try in the 66th minute.

The Raiders remain in third place on the ladder after round 11, two points behind the first-placed Panthers.
