West Belconnen Warriors 16 defeat Belconnen United Sharks 10
The local derby proved to be hard-fought as the West Belconnen Warriors narrowly beat the Belconnen United Sharks at NSWRL HQ on Saturday.
Warriors prop Crystal Papalii was unstoppable with the ball in hand as she barged over for two of her sides three tries in a game where every point mattered.
The inaugural KFS side, Belconnen United, were impressive against the defending premiers, with second rower Jamie Devenport and dummy half Angelina Costa scoring to keep the Sharks in the contest.
In Round 10, West Belconnen play in a top four clash against Woden, while Belconnen United look to secure their third win of the year against the Kangaroos.
Queanbeyan Blues 20 defeat Tuggeranong Bushrangers 16
The Queanbeyan Blues were put to work by the Tuggeranong Bushrangers as they got away with a four-point win at Seiffert Oval.
The Blues scored four tries to Tuggeranong's three including front rower Miranda Smith busting her way over the line for a double.
Nirvana Ngan-Woo, Beyonce Marela, and Caitlin Fazey-Robinson were the try-scorers for the Bushrangers, keeping their side in reach of the third place Blues.
When we return to footy in two weeks, Tuggeranong will host the Yass Magpies, while the Blues face off with the Gungahlin Bulls in a top four battle.
Woden Valley Rams 32 defeat Yass Magpies 12
The Woden Valley Rams continue to flex their muscles as they put on a clinic against the Yass Magpies.
Rams fullback Lara Cosgrove has been one of the top performers in the KFS all season, and Saturday's match was no exception. Cosgrove scored a hat-trick for her side while having success with the boot.
Woden are now in a four-way tie for first on the ladder with 12-points, while Yass sit behind in fifth on six points.
Second placed Rams will face fourth placed West Belconnen in Round 10, while Yass look to catch up on competition points when they verse the struggling Bushrangers.
Goulburn City Bulldogs 40 defeat Bungendore Kangaroos 16
The Goulburn City Bulldogs get their second win of the year with a dominant performance over the Bungendore Kangaroos.
Katelyn Staples was outstanding on the wing for the Bulldogs, as she crossed for a whopping five tries.
The Kangaroos showed promising signs in the three tries they scored, which came through Madison Batchelor, Gypsy-Rose Brookman, and Carrie Jackson.
Goulburn will have the next two weeks off with the bye in Round 10, while the Kangaroos will host the Belconnen United Sharks.
