NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg: Round 16 Preview

The Raiders Jersey Flegg & NSW Cup sides will travel to Eric Tweedale Stadium to take on the Eels in a double header on Saturday afternoon.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Raiders Jersey Flegg Cup side will eye-off four in a row when they take on Parramatta in this Saturday's round 16 double header.

Last weekend's 30-18 victory over South Sydney places the Raiders outright first on the ladder, heading into the back end of the season.

Meanwhile, the Eels also enter this contest with four consecutive wins and will be targeting a fifth after a slow start to their 2024 campaign.

Canberra currently rank first in the competition in attack and second in defence.

Canberra's defence will be important given the Eels scoring average of nearly 26 points a game over the past month.

NSW Cup

The Raiders dropped to second on the ladder after their gutsy 18-all draw with the Rabbitohs last Saturday.

Boosted by the additions of returning Origin prop Corey Horsburgh and Peter Hola will look to return to their winning ways this weekend.

They face an in-form Parramatta side who have won six of their last seven matches in the NSW Cup.

Like their Flegg side, the Eels had a slow start to the competition but will eye-off a spot in the top eight with a win this weekend.

With plenty of NRL experience across the park, this match sets up to be a great spectacle.
