Jersey Flegg Cup: Round 18 Wrap

The Raiders Jersey Flegg Cup side skipped away with a strong second half effort to score a 30-14 victory over the Newcastle Knights.

In an anticipated top four clash, it certainty lived up to the standard in the opening stages.

Canberra opened the scoring with two early tries before the Knights responded right on halftime with a pair of their own, with the Raiders holding a 12-10 advantage.

Raiders prop Tahrell Feaveai crossed early in the second half, securing his double as Canberra began to run away with it.

Raiders fullback Trae Bennetto and halfback Keahn Skipps showcased their class as they combined to put the Knights away and hold their position in first on the ladder.

Canberra will now turn their attention to the Panthers, when they travel to BlueBet Stadium this weekend.
