Katrina Fanning Shield: Round 15 Preview

We're set for an exciting round 15 of the Blumers Lawyers Katrina Fanning Shield, with teams making their final push to improve their standings.

Belconnen United Sharks vs Woden Valley Rams, 10:40am, Saturday at NSWRL HQ Bruce

The Belconnen United Sharks will host the Woden Valley Rams in an anticipated top four clash.

Despite last week's loss, Woden did enough to cement their position on top of the ladder with a strong points differential.

The Rams will be determined to claim victory over the Sharks to hold on to their top spot with finals on the horizon.

Meanwhile the Sharks, coming off a 16-all draw, need the two points to boost their slim chances of qualifying for finals.

Goulburn City Bulldogs vs Queanbeyan Blues, 10:40am, Saturday at Workers Arena

The Goulburn City Bulldogs will invite the Queanbeyan Blues to Workers Arena on Saturday morning.

After a slow start, the Bulldogs have significantly improved in the second half of the year, and aim to carry this momentum to finish the season strongly.

Meanwhile, the Blues will look to build on last week’s win against the top-of-the-ladder Rams, which brought them level on points with first place.

With the Bulldogs all but out of finals contention, they’ll aim for an upset victory to hinder the Blues’ minor premiership aspirations.

Yass Magpies vs West Belconnen Warriors, 12:00pm, Saturday at Walker Park

The West Belconnen Warriors will make the trip to Walker Park to take on the Yass Magpies.

Coming off the bye, Yass will be desperate to secure the win as they sit in fifth place, just two points behind the Bulls.

With a top-four position within reach, they'll be determined to capitalise on this opportunity.

On the opposing side, the Warriors are expected to come in strong and aim for the top spot as they currently sit in second place.

Bungendore Kangaroos vs Gungahlin Bulls, 12:30pm, Saturday at Mick Sherd Oval

The Bungendore Kangaroos will challenge the Gungahlin Bulls at Mick Sherd Oval.

The Kangaroos are still pursuing their first win and aim to impress their home crowd to inspire a strong finish to their season.

After defeating the Bushrangers last week, the Bulls will look to create further distance between themselves and fifth placed Yass who threaten their finals spot.
