NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg: Round 20 Preview

This Saturday sees an exciting double header at Raiders Belconnen, as the NSW Cup team take on the North Sydney Bears at 2pm, while the Raiders Flegg team kick off at 12:15pm against the Melbourne Storm.

NSW Cup

All eyes will be on the 2pm match at Raiders Belconnen this Saturday to watch this exciting top-of-the-table clash.

Fresh off a slim 26-24 win to the Panthers at BlueBet Stadium, Penrith, the Raiders will be looking to carry over this momentum this weekend.

Last week’s game saw an impressive effort from Mitch Henderson, who was first to cross the line, and successfully converted all tries of the day.

This week’s lineup sees a few changes, with Nick Cotric, Simi Sasagi and Jordan Martin out, as Chevy Stewart returns to the squad as fullback and Josh Billing joins the interchange bench.

Currently sitting in second place on the ladder, the Raiders will be battling it out with the first placed Bears for their place on top of the ladder.

The Bears are also coming off a tight victory, securing a 22-20 win last Sunday at Coogee Oval.

The last time these teams met was in round seven, where the Bears defeated the Raiders 20-12 at North Sydney Oval.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Jersey Flegg squad will kick off this Saturday’s excitement at Raiders Belconnen as they clash with the Melbourne Storm at 12:15pm.

Fresh off a disappointing 26-12 loss to the Panthers, the second-placed Raiders will be looking to bounce back and secure a win against the Storm this weekend.

This weekend’s team list remains largely unchanged, with Jai Purser joining the reserves in the place of Taylor Withington.

On the other hand, Melbourne are coming off a 22-14 victory last weekend against the Rabbitohs at Coogee Oval.

Currently sitting in ninth place on the ladder, there’s no doubt the Storm will be looking to steal a win and cause an upset this Saturday at Raiders Belconnen.

The last time these teams met was in round seven, where the Raiders claimed a 24-16 victory over the Storm at Seabrook Reserve, Broadmeadows.
