The Raiders Jersey Flegg team recorded a strong win over the Storm, while the Cup side fell short against the Bears in round 20 action over the weekend.

The Canberra Raiders NSW Cup team fell short 20-12 against the North Sydney Bears over the weekend at Raiders Belconnen.

In what was a tightly fought contest between to top two sides, scores were locked at 12-12 with seven minutes to go before the Bears ran away with it. 

Raiders five-eighth Mitch Henderson was outstanding across the park, claiming a double, crossing the line in the first and second half.

Canberra were unable to hold onto the top contenders who sit outright first.

They will look to bounce back next weekend with a home game against South Sydney Rabbitohs. 

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Canberra Raiders secured a demolishing 34-18 home victory over the Melbourne Storm on Saturday afternoon at Raiders Belconnen.

Canberra scored six tries including centre Regan Carr, who claimed a double in this clash against the Storm.

Raiders fullback Trae Bennetto held his composure kicking five from six successful conversions, aiding his team to such victory.

Canberra remain on top of the ladder after the great victory and they now have a chance as a team to rest and recuperate with a bye this weekend.
