Queanbeyan Kangaroos 76 defeat Goulburn City Bulldogs 4

The Queanbeyan Roos have secured back-to-back minor premierships after a 72 point thrashing over the Goulburn City Bulldogs at Seears Workwear Oval.

After three sides battled out for the minor premiership, the Roos dominated Goulburn to wrack up their for/against and claim the top spot.

Both Kangaroos players Joshua Ayers and Jaxen Yow crossed the stripe with a hat-trick in the contest in what was a full team performance for the Roos.

The two Queanbeyan sides will meet for the third time of the season this Sunday, where one team will head straight to the 2024 Canberra Raiders Cup Grand Final.

Woden Valley Rams 52 defeat Yass Magpies 22

The Woden Valley Rams claimed a phenomenal 30-point demolition over the Yass Magpies at Boomanulla Oval.

The Rams came onto the field with purpose as Daine Spencer, Koko Salim and Jesse Martin were three players all securing doubles in the contest.

The Magpies were gallant as Bayley Maher also crossed for a double.

The Rams’ efforts weren’t enough to secure a top two position, forcing them into a do-or-die clash against the Belconnen United Sharks. Both sides will work hard to claim victory for a chance in the upcoming preliminary final.

Queanbeyan Blues 50 defeat Tuggeranong Bushrangers 12

The Queanbeyan Blues have secured second position on the ladder and an early shot for a grand final position after their 38 point win over the Tuggeranong Bushrangers on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors came out firing, posting a strong performance with ten tries to Tuggeranong’s two.

Blues fullback Josh Pokoney claimed a hat-trick in the side’s big win over the Bushies.

Pokoney’s teammates Dylan Mclachlan and Allan Wratten also crossed for try doubles in the contest, aiding their side to victory.

Queanbeyan will look to prepare for a Grand Final Qualifier against cross-town rivals, the Queanbeyan Kangaroos.

Belconnen United Sharks 38 defeat West Belconnen Warriors 20

The Belconnen United Sharks will appear in back-to-back finals series after their strong win in the Belconnen derby on Saturday afternoon.

The first half was a tight contest but it was Sharks that strung away with the lead.

Sharks fullback Tristian Eldridge was a standout across the park, claiming a hat-trick in their big win.

Belconnen captain Zac Patch was a key factor for his side's victory, kicking five successful goals and crossing for a try.

The Sharks will look to drive hard in a semi final clash against the Woden Valley Rams on Saturday afternoon to secure a place in the preliminary final.
