In the opening week of finals for the Blumers Lawyers Katrina Fanning Shield, Woden and Gungahlin face a do-or-die clash, while Yass and Queanbeyan battle for a grand final berth.

Minor Semi Final: Woden Valley Rams vs Gungahlin Bulls, 12:00pm, Saturday at Greenway Oval

The Woden Valley Rams take on the Gungahlin Bulls in a mouthwatering elimination final on Saturday afternoon. 

The Rams enters the finals series with 11 wins throughout the season, however experienced defeat against the Magpies which sees them have to go the long way for premiership glory.

Meanwhile, the Bulls will be fresh and raring to go after having the bye in the final round of the season. 

The season for both sides comes down to securing a win on Saturday afternoon, with the winner progressing to the preliminary final next week and the loser left to think about what could have been. 

Major Semi Final: Yass Magpies vs Queanbeyan Blues, 12:00pm, Sunday at Seears Workwear Oval

The Yass Magpies and Queanbeyan Blues face off in an intriguing major semi final with the winner progressing through to the grand final, while the loser has a second chance. 

The Magpies enter the finals series as the team to beat after finishing minor premiers, entering the finals on a nine game winning streak. 

Whilst, the Blues arrive at the finals series off a tight win away from home against the Bushrangers and will be hoping to obtain the weekend off. 

With a grand final berth on the line, both sides will be aiming to achieve their most crucial win of the season, meanwhile the loser will have a second opportunity in the preliminary final.
