NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg: Round 25 Preview

The Canberra Raiders NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg sides return home this Saturday for a quadruple header at GIO Stadium in their bid to wrap up the minor premiership in both grades.

NSW Cup

The Raiders NSW Cup side will face the sixth placed Penrith Panthers in what shapes up to be an epic battle between two in-form sides.

Both teams match-up well with plenty of youth and experience across the park.

The battle of the young fullbacks Chevy Stewart and Isaiah Iongi will be one to watch as they have both debuted in NRL this season and will look to use their speed around the ruck.

This game has huge implications for the ladder as the Raiders look to hold first spot and the Panthers push for a top four position.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Raiders Jersey Flegg Cup side have clinched the 2024 minor premiership ahead of their top four matchup with the Panthers.

The Raiders will line-up differently on Saturday as they look to play plenty of youth and blood a number of SG Ball players from earlier this year.

The Panthers enter this contest off the back of a tight six-point victory over the Storm last weekend in Penrith.

Saturday's contest will kick-off a quadruple header at GIO Stadium in the club's last NRL home game of the season.
