The Woden Valley Rams secured a tight two point victory over the Belconnen United Sharks in a tough match on Saturday afternoon to cement their place in the preliminary final.
In a back and forth clash, both sides traded tries in the opening stages with so much on the line.
The Rams executed their attack which brought them luck on the edges through young guns Koko Salim and Sam Gash, scoring three tries between them.
Belconnen wouldn’t go down without a fight, with fullback Tristan Eldridge getting involved late to give his side every chance for a comeback.
Tevita Aroha Tuinauvai caught a miracle offload from Eldrige to score a late try in the corner. The conversion waved away granting Woden with the tight two point victory.

The Queanbeyan Kangaroos have secured their spot in the 2024 Canberra Raiders Cup Grand Final after defeating their town rivals, the Blues 22-14 on Sunday afternoon.
After nothing could separate the pair throughout the regular season, the scores were level at halftime at 10-all.
Kangaroos hooker Lachie Ingram bagged a try right after the break which gave the home side an important lead.
The Blues stayed in the fight for the full 80 minutes, with five-eighth Connor Williams claiming a double.
McIntyre Medalist Dylan McLachlan looked to have found halves partner Williams a try for his hat-trick, only for it to be denied with only minutes remaining.
The Kangaroos now have the week off to prepare for the Grand Final, awaiting their opponent from Sunday’s preliminary final between the Rams and Blues.
