NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg: Round 26 Preview

The Canberra Raiders will look to finish first in both grades as they travel to Wentworth Park to take on the Sydney Roosters in Sunday's double header.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Raiders Jersey Flegg side enter this contest with nothing to lose on Sunday after wrapping up the 2024 minor premiership a fortnight ago.

Canberra welcome back 10 regulars who were absent from last Saturday's match against Penrith, giving them a well-deserved freshen up ahead of an important finals campaign.

The Raiders will take on a ninth placed Roosters outfit, granting a great opportunity to build on momentum coming into the finals series.

Canberra's spine of Bennetto, Afamasaga, Skipps and Packer have proved influential over the past eight weeks, which saw the side gap the rest on the competition ladder to score the club's first JF Cup minor premiership since 1993.

NSW Cup

The Raiders will take on the Roosters in the last round of the regular season with a huge opportunity to win the minor premiership.

Canberra enters this contest tied on competition points with North Sydney but with a far superior for and against, where a win on Sunday would guarantee them the week off heading into finals.

The Roosters have arguably been the form team of the competition. Although placed 11th, they have won their past four while defeating premiership threats in the Bears and Bulldogs.

Raiders halfback Adam Cook continues to lead the league in try and line break assists while captain Hohepa Puru leads the comp in total tackles.
