The Canberra Raiders Cup League Tag premiership will be on the line this Sunday afternoon, with a rematch of last year’s decider to take place between the Woden Valley Rams and Gungahlin Bulls.

With kick off stated for 9:15am, the Ladies League Tag will set the tone for Grand Final day at Seiffert Oval with the Bulls looking to exact revenge for last year’s heartbreak with the Rams aiming to cement their legacy and claim three titles in a row.

After meeting in the major semi final, it was the Woden Valley Rams who were the first to book their spot in the decider in a tight 14-12 victory.

"We take a lot of confidence out of that game, and our ability to comeback from being down the whole entire game," Rams star player Keesha Kapea said.

"We're looking forward to the challenge again this Sunday."

Undefeated in 2024, the Rams have been the team to beat this season with wins coming convincingly averaging 46 points in the regular season and Kapea leading the competition in both tries and points.

Kapea emphasised that "trust" is the key word coach Bryce Lloyd is instilling in the team.

"He's really drilled into us the word 'trust' - trust the process, trust your teammates, and trust that we will be there earning the right to lift that trophy at the end of the day."

Having to go the long way around to qualify, the Bulls secured a 20-6 victory over a valiant West Belconnen side to advance to the big dance.

Bulls captain Matisse McNair believes the team is in its best form.

"This is the best we've ever been, I have full belief in all 20 girls listed that they can take this away, work hard, and come out with the result that we really want," McNair said.

"Peak form at the moment and I think we're only getting better."

The Gungahlin Bulls have been nipping at the heels of the Rams all season with their three losses coming against the side from Woden Valley, with a win on Sunday morning sure to wipe those losses from their minds.

"We came with a goal at the start of the year and that was to get to the Grand Final and come away with it," said McNair.

With the competition's two best sides competing in the Grand Final, the early crowd at Seiffert Oval will be in for a fantastic opening contest and a crowning moment for either side.
