NSW Cup: Finals Round One Preview

The Canberra Raiders NSW Cup side will feature in Saturday afternoon's qualifying final against the Newtown Jets in a massive opportunity for the club to go deep into the finals' series.

The Raiders will look to bounce back after a disappointing round 26 loss to the Sydney Roosters, meaning they finished third on the competition ladder.

Although Canberra have done enough to receive a second chance, where the winner will face the Bears in next week's Major Semi-Final.

The battle between Newtown and Canberra match-up well, with plenty of talent across the park.

The Puru twins will face off for a third time this season, Hohepa lining up at lock for the Raiders and Niwhai wearing the 7 for the Jets.

After a 28-all draw back in round four, Canberra bounced back with a comprehensive 42-12 victory over Newtown.

Boom fullbacks Liam Ison and Chevy Stewart will also face-off after both debuting in the NRL earlier this season, showcasing some exciting talent and shining for their respective side.

The loser of Saturday's contest will take on the winner of the Panthers and Warriors in the Elimination Final.
