Jersey Flegg Cup

The Raiders Jersey Flegg Cup side look ahead to an anticipated match up against the Cronulla Sharks in a do or die preliminary final.

Cronulla look to be a testing side for Canberra, although the Raiders look to lift their momentum as they push hard for a spot in the Grand Final.

Raiders centre Regan Carr looks to be a key factor in Sunday’s performance, known for his speed and quick hands with the ball.

Carr picked up the Raiders Jersey Flegg Player of the Year in Monday night’s Presentation Evening, after leading the team in tries, line breaks and tackle breaks for the season.

After dropping last week’s major semi-final in a heartbreaking 15-14 defeat to the Bulldogs, the minor premiers will look to bounce back in their determination of securing victory for a spot in the 2024 grand final.

NSW Cup

The Raiders NSW Cup side will push hard with a finals rematch against the Newtown Jets in a blockbuster preliminary final.

The Jets claimed victory in week one of the finals, scoring a large 38-16 victory in the qualifying final where both sides find themselves facing off in a preliminary final.

Canberra bounced back in a strong way, knocking out the Penrith Panthers while the Jets went down in a tight 18-16 loss to the Bears in a major semi-final.

The inclusions of NRL experienced forwards’ Emre Guler, Trey Mooney and Simi Sasagi proved an important difference last weekend, which the Raiders will look to utilise in their finals run.

The stakes are high with the winner taking on the minor premiers in next Sunday’s grand final, with the loser being eliminated from the competition.
