Katrina Fanning to be inducted into ACT Sport Hall of Fame

Four new inductees will be welcomed into the ACT Sport Hall of Fame this year, celebrated for excellence in their field and their contribution to our sporting community.

Located at the Sporting Commons at the University of Canberra, the ACT Sport Hall of Fame began in 1995 and recognises both athletes (Full Member) and non-athletes, including coaches, officials, sport scientists, journalists and administrators (Associate Member) from our region.

This year the ACT Sport Hall of Fame will welcome:
•    Katrina Fanning – Full Member – Rugby League
•    Brad Haddin – Full Member – Cricket
•    Carrie Graf – Associate Member – Basketball
•    Ron Harvey – Associate Member – Basketball

All four will all be formally inducted at the 2024 CBR Sport Awards event to be held on the 27 November at Belconnen Arts Centre.

Minister for Sport and Recreation Yvette Berry congratulated the inductees and said it was great to see two more women inducted into the ACT Sport Hall of Fame.

“Each year the ACT Sport Hall of Fame inducts a select group of people who have been nominated by their sport for their achievements and enormous contribution, making our community proud and adding yet another chapter to our community’s rich sporting history,” Minister Berry said.

“Congratulations to the four new inductees into the ACT Sport Hall of Fame – Katrina Fanning, Carrie Graf, Ron Harvey and Brad Haddin. Your achievements and service to sport in Canberra and Australia inspires us all.”
