The undefeated Raiders UNE SG Ball side will look to add another two points this week when they take on the Sea Eagles at Raiders Belconnen.
The Raiders defeated the Sydney Roosters 30-28 last week in a thrilling round four clash at Henson Park.
Cooper Johnston continues showing his try scoring ability which saw him take a double on the weekend against the roosters which takes his tally to five tries for the season.
Coach Rourke O’Sullivan has been thoroughly impressed with the side’s momentum throughout the start of the season.
“It’s been a great start, we have had some good results. I guess it’s been good how we’ve been playing and really competitive in all our games. We have been really hard to beat in the big moments, so it’s been good”.
The Raiders will remain unchanged after their clutch win in the dying stages last week to place them equal first on the ladder with the Tigers.
Rourke O’Sullivan took over the SG Ball cup side for 2025 and has been pleased with the vast combinations for this year and is excited to see them solidify as the season progresses.
“Majority of the boys have played together before which helps those combinations, but also the boys from outside of Canberra have been great additions to the squad. We’ve got a really good comradery at the moment and excited for the rest of the year”.
The Raiders are ready for a big clash at home and are hoping to stay undefeated heading into round six.
“Manly are the powerhouses in the junior rep’s competition and we are expecting a tough game this weekend. We’re looking forward to being back at home and continuing to build on our season”.
