The Canberra Region Rugby League (CRRL) officially launched the 2025 season on Wednesday evening at the Canberra Raiders Centre.
For the first time, the Blumers Lawyers Canberra Raiders Cup, Blumers Lawyers George Tooke Shield, and Sign World Junior competitions were brought together in a combined season launch, showcasing the unity and growth of rugby league in the region.

The event also celebrated a special milestone - the centenary of Northbourne Oval.
As the original major ground of Canberra, the oval has served multiple sports over the past 100 years and is now the proud home of the Canberra Raiders and the Canberra District Rugby League.

The evening was attended by long-standing and new community partners, whose ongoing support plays a vital role in the development of grassroots rugby league.
Guest speakers from community organisations, including Menslink, Fearless Women, Headspace, and SportsCare, also took the stage to highlight the valuable services and resources available to the rugby league community.

As we look ahead to the 2025 season, CRRL remains committed to fostering a strong rugby league culture in Canberra and the surrounding regions, with a focus on competition, community engagement, and development at all levels of the game.
