The Raiders NSW & Jersey Flegg Cup sides were both defeated over the weekend at Lidcombe Park to close out round six.

The Knock-on Effect NSW Cup

The Raiders NSW Cup came away with a tough 28-20 loss over the weekend to the Parramatta Eels.

Jalen Afamasaga opened the scoring for the Raiders, beating a couple of defenders with some fancy footwork to score in the first four minutes of play.

It was all one-way traffic for the Eels as they scored five consecutive tries in the first half to push their lead way out of the Raiders reach.

Although behind by 20 points, the Raiders came out of the second half with some intent and scored a very quick try in the first minute of the second half.

From there, the Green Machine scored two consecutive tries from Noah Martin and Adam Cook, but it was all too little too late for the Raiders who went down 28-20.

The NSW Cup Raiders will look to get back to winning ways against the Manly Sea Eagles at Raiders Belconnen this Sunday.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Raiders’ Jersey Flegg Cup side suffered a heavy 44-6 defeat to the Eels last Saturday at Lidcombe Park.

The Eels started relatively quickly against the Raiders as they scored three tries in nine minutes.

Trae Bennetto scored the only try in the game for the Raiders just before halftime to give them some hope going into the second half.

Unfortunately, with one man in the bin for the Raiders, it was a one-way road train as the Eels ran away with it in the second half, scoring five tries to take home the 44-6 win.

The Raiders will look to put this game behind them and focus on this Sunday when they take on the Manly Sea Eagles at Raiders Belconnen.
